UPDATE: Vaccination requirement Pre-verify with EventScan

If you are attending the 2021 Winter Meeting, we will require either proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival at the Washington Hilton Hotel.

ANS values the health and safety of all our members. We will continue to follow all CDC, State, City, and Hotel safety requirements in our efforts to provide you a safe environment as we gather again.

  • Click the link above to pre-verify with EventScan prior to the meeting.
  • You will receive an EVENT PASS email confirmation once you have completed the verification process with a green checkmark. Those who are not verified will be required to check in with the event host upon arrival.
  • The server used by EventScan for uploading your vaccination information is the same type of server used by hospitals, surgical centers, and emergency clinics. Once uploaded, your vaccination information is stored on an encrypted HIPAA server during the information collection timeframe for laboratory purposes. The data is kept encrypted on the server until conclusion of the meeting, and all attendees receive notification of verification, by email through the secured system.

LIVE: In-person and Virtual!

Sadly, the long tail of COVID keeps getting longer. As we have since the beginning of the pandemic, ANS will remain biased toward the return of physical meetings. In many ways, the recent Utility Working Conference experience has only hardened our resolve. At the same time, we recognize that “normal” is still a way off, and many of you are not yet able to travel to physical meetings. So we plan to be as flexible as possible and use whatever combination of live and virtual means that allows us to best achieve “maximum professional exchange” at our upcoming gatherings – including the 2021 ANS Winter Meeting, scheduled for November 30-December 3 in Washington, DC.

Now all sessions will be available virtually!

Attend the meeting in person in Washington, D.C. or participate virtually. No matter which option you choose, you'll have the same access to more than 100 sessions and 300-plus presentations presented by the leading experts in the nuclear field.

Register now to get the early rate! Our firm intention is to host a live event, but if it turns out you are unable to travel, no problem. We will shift you to a virtual attendee and refund you the difference. What if you plan to attend virtually but find out at the last minute you can travel to D.C.? Again, no problem. You have the option to upgrade to an in-person attendee at any time. If the pandemic causes local authorities to shut down large events, we will take the meeting entirely virtual.

We will emerge from this global exercise in ALARA; it’s just a matter of time. See you soon!
