Maine Maritime Academy to offer nuclear engineering technology major
The Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) is set to become the first maritime academy in the United States to offer a major in nuclear engineering technology. The college characterized it as “an important step in addressing workforce needs and advancing clean energy solutions” in a LinkedIn post announcing the major.

Our Attila® and Attila4MCTM products are used worldwide for shielding, radiological protection, and a myriad of other scenarios where radiation effects play an important role in product or system performance, safety, or reliability. Our mission focuses around delivering state-of-the-art software leveraging both Monte Carlo and deterministic methods, and combining with robust CAD integration, to help organizations efficiently integrate radiation transport simulations into their design cycle.
