X-energy, TerraPower share updates on advanced reactor projects
The two main players of the Department of Energy’s Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program, X-energy and TerraPower, have both announced significant developments in their projects to deploy advanced commercial-scale reactors.

This plenary session will focus on the interplay between safety and licensing strategies for a variety of advanced reactor efforts. The speakers will discuss how the safety philosophy of their designs impact and shape the licensing strategies and associated deployment timelines. Speakers will also discuss key efforts to reduce regulatory uncertainty and/or align regulatory expectations to support international deployment.
