The Education, Training & Workforce Development Division provides communication among the academic, industrial, and governmental communities through the exchange of views and information on matters related to education, training and workforce development in nuclear and radiological science, engineering, and technology. College students help develop waste-measuring device at Hanford
A partnership between Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) and Washington State University has resulted in the development of a device to measure radioactive and chemical tank waste at the Hanford Site. WRPS is the contractor at Hanford for the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management.

If you are attending the 2022 Student Conference, we will require either proof of COVID-19 vaccination including booster, or a negative COVID-19 test (must be a PCR test) taken within 72 hours of arrival at the Conference. Vaccine records will be verified at the registration desk. UIUC offers community PCR testing at the Campus Recreation Center East. Test results are typically returned within 24 hours, but may take up to 48 hours.
