Radiation Protection & Shielding
The Radiation Protection and Shielding Division is developing and promoting radiation protection and shielding aspects of nuclear science and technology — including interaction of nuclear radiation with materials and biological systems, instruments and techniques for the measurement of nuclear radiation fields, and radiation shield design and evaluation.

Salary growth rate for nuclear engineers among highest
Nuclear engineers have the second-fastest growing salaries among six-figure earners, according to a recent study from AdvisorSmith, a business insurance resource company.
ANS members represent a broad spectrum of 1600 worldwide organizations throughout 54 countries, from utilities and manufacturers to educational institutions, national laboratories and government agencies. Over the last 12 months, the ANS website has attracted more than 290,000 unique visitors corresponding to 6,289,646 million banner/page views. Banner ads are simultaneously rotated throughout the more than 64,700 total public and private web pages.
