This committee shall be responsible for development and grading of the national professional engineering examinations in nuclear engineering. It provides all interface activities for the American Nuclear Society to the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
The Committee shall be composed of at least ten (10) Fellows, Members, Emeritus or Honorary Life Members, but no more than thirty (30) members. The membership shall consist of the chair and vice chair and up to eighteen (18) additional members. Members of the committee shall be licensed as Professional Engineers in some state. The members will be appointed for three-year terms, with the terms of approximately one-third (1/3) of the members expiring at the close of each Annual Meeting. The chair of the Professional Development Coordination Committee, or the designated representative of the PDCC chair, will serve as an ex officio member.
For more information about the Professional Engineering Licensure for Nuclear Engineers, please visit PEEC. The American Nuclear Society offers both workshop and study guides in preparation of the exam.
Please note that membership in the PEEC is limited to those with an ACTIVE PE license. NCEES requires this for participation in exam development and checks to verify all volunteers have an ACTIVE license.
