NRC grants Disa license for novel environmental remediation tech
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved a license application submitted by Disa Technologies to use high-pressure slurry ablation (HPSA) technology for remediating abandoned uranium mine waste at inactive mining sites.

The 12th ANS Topical Meeting on Nuclear Plant Instrumentation and Control and Human-Machine Interface Technology Conference (NPIC&HMIT) will be embedded in the 2021 ANS Annual Meeting in Providence, RI. NPIC&HMIT is the preeminent venue for sharing nuclear I&C and human factors research, development, deployment and application, and best practices, through a mix of technical presentations and panel discussions (invited and contributed). This panel session will preview the topics that will be discussed at the upcoming conference.
