Leading the charge: INL’s role in advancing HALEU production
Idaho National Laboratory is playing a key role in helping the U.S. Department of Energy meet near-term needs by recovering HALEU from federal inventories, providing critical support to help lay the foundation for a future commercial HALEU supply chain. INL also supports coordination of broader DOE efforts, from material recovery at the Savannah River Site in South Carolina to commercial enrichment initiatives.

Dr. David Hill is Chief Technology Officer for Terrestrial Energy USA. He retired as the Deputy Laboratory Director for Science & Technology at the Department of Energy’s Idaho National Laboratory in 2013. He had previously held senior positions at both Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory. He is a Fellow of the American Nuclear Society and also a member of the State Board of Education in Idaho.
