Task force charts growing interest in civilian maritime nuclear applications
Readers of Nuclear News will have heard of historical applications of civilian maritime nuclear power, like the merchant ship NS Savannah and the USS Sturgis floating power plant. With a few exceptions there has been little action in this area for over 50 years, and there are plenty of reasons and opinions as to why, but over the last few years the dramatic increase in interest from the maritime industry and its stakeholders has been undeniable.
Did you know that as an ANS Student Member you can attend the ANS Winter Conference in Orlando, FL, and receive complimentary registration plus a portion of your travel costs?
Participating in the Student Program is a great way to meet other students as well as professionals in your chosen field of study. It’s also an opportunity to begin making your name and carving your path within your professional society!
All you have to do is attend one of the Q&A meetings, work and participate in various activities at the conference and earn a minimum of 10 points.
