South Korea looks to Southern and NuScale
This week, the United States and South Korea have taken two steps toward deepening their nuclear partnership through two notable announcements. First, the majority-state owned Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power signed a memorandum of understanding with Birmingham, Ala.–based Southern Nuclear.
Holtec International is a global innovative technology company with an extensive portfolio including used nuclear fuel storage and transportation. Holtec's SMR-300 small modular reactor will provide safe, secure, dependable, and carbon-free power even in arid regions. Holtec Palisades, planned for decommissioning, is expected to be the first American reactor to restart operations.
