European fusion studies shed light on disruptive phenomena at plasma edge
Recent research out of the United Kingdom and Germany is offering promising advances in the understanding of fusion plasmas, potentially bringing the dream of commercial fusion energy closer to reality.
The Innovative SMR Development Agency is a dedicated government-established entity in Republic of Korea for the development of i-SMR. The standard design of i-SMR will be completed by the end of 2025 and FOAKE plants are planned to construct in the early 2030s. The i-SMR will be an optimized SMR, integrating innovative technology alongside the construction experiences from the APR1400.
