DOE awards $2.7B for HALEU and LEU enrichment
Yesterday, the Department of Energy announced that three enrichment services companies have been awarded task orders worth $900 million each. Those task orders were given to American Centrifuge Operating (a Centrus Energy subsidiary) and General Matter, both of which will develop domestic HALEU enrichment capacity, along with Orano Federal Services, which will build domestic LEU enrichment capacity.
The DOE also announced that it has awarded Global Laser Enrichment an additional $28 million to continue advancing next generation enrichment technology.

Group rates of $169.00 plus 14% tax are available Saturday, July 30 through Thursday, August 4. Government rooms are also available current prevailing rate of $130 plus tax. Check-in time is 3:00pm. Check-out time is 12:00pm. Reservations can be made by calling 412-261-2000. Guests should be identified as part of the American Nuclear Society, D&RS 2016 Meeting. All reservations must be confirmed by July 15 to secure the group rate. After this date rooms will be accepted on a space available basis.
