Thermal Hydraulics
The division provides a forum for focused technical dialogue on thermal hydraulic technology in the nuclear industry. Specifically, this will include heat transfer and fluid mechanics involved in the utilization of nuclear energy. It is intended to attract the highest quality of theoretical and experimental work to ANS, including research on basic phenomena and application to nuclear system design.

The Agency established an international Network on Innovation to Support Operating Plants (ISOP) for increasing collaboration and experience sharing in the field of innovation for the nuclear industry. It also aims to support innovation deployment within the nuclear industry. The scope of the network activities includes all types of innovations that could serve the purpose of the nuclear industry sustainability. It should include activities related to technologies, processes, frameworks including regulatory aspects and collaboration, culture & leadership. The panel discussion will focus on the ISOP philosophy and related working groups, recent projects, achievements and future plans in, among others: o Robotics and drones; o Artificial intelligence; o Advanced manufacturing; o Regulatory considerations; o Cybersecurity; o Advanced I&C. Please note that some videos from IAEA ISOP awards programme will be broadcasted.
