Devoted specifically to the safety of nuclear installations and the health and safety of the public, this division seeks a better understanding of the role of safety in the design, construction and operation of nuclear installation facilities. NNSA to conduct NEPA review of plutonium pit production
The National Nuclear Security Administration announced that it will prepare a programmatic environmental impact statement (PEIS) to ensure National Environmental Policy Act compliance for the administration’s production of plutonium pits. The NNSA is inviting the public to participate in the PEIS process and to comment on the scope, environmental issues, and alternatives for consideration in drafting the document.
The American Nuclear Society is the product of its membership and communities, one of which cannot exist without the other. Communities allow ANS members to amplify their research, networks, ideas, relationships, themselves, and many other important facets of an ANS member’s life.
