ORNL to partner with Type One, UTK on fusion facility
Yesterday, Oak Ridge National Laboratory announced that it is in the process of partnering with Type One Energy and the University of Tennessee–Knoxville. That partnership will have one primary goal: to establish a high-heat flux facility (HHF) at the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Bull Run Energy Complex in Clinton, Tenn.

All beneficial applications of nuclear technology -- energy, medicine, space, and industrial -- are tied inextricably to federal, state, and international laws, regulations, and funding. However, the larger geopolitical environment in which policy is made seems to change daily. Panelists from across the nuclear policymaking sphere will dig into the major issues of the day and shed light on the longer-term implications.
