Talking About Low-dose Radiation Risk

Join us for a special Q&A with an expert panel as they discuss how to communicate about the risk of low-dose radiation. This free members-only event is a follow-up to the “Risky Business” President’s Session that took place during the ANS Virtual Winter Meeting in November (watch the session below). The session will take a deeper dive into the many questions generated from the thought-provoking discussion.

Topics addressed will include:

• How do we get “Reasonable” put back into the implementation of ALARA? What government/industry players must come together to make this happen?
• What can scientists/engineers do to help dispel myths about radiation and nuclear and explain their benefits?
• What can we learn from how other industries manage risk?
