NRC to add new items to categorical exclusions list
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has identified five categories of action to add to its list of categorical exclusions to reduce its documentation work under National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) procedures.
These revisions are included in the final rule, “Categorical exclusions from environmental review,” which was published in the Federal Register on March 30. The final rule will become effective on April 29.

As the geopolitical landscape continues to shift, export controls are increasingly important to U.S. national security. As the geopolitics shift, so do some export control requirements, which can help exporters navigate the complexities of this landscape, They can – and should be – integral to the marketing and project management strategies of nuclear energy exporters and those who support them, including national labs, universities, consulting companies and other parts of the nuclear supply chain. In this panel discussion, experts from the U.S. Government will participate in an engaging and informative discussion on the considerations and actions that can streamline exports of nuclear technology, avoid common pitfalls, and take advantage of U.S. Government expertise and resources. And, they’ll tell you everything you always wanted to know about export controls but were afraid to ask.
