Kentucky disburses $10M in nuclear grants
The Kentucky Nuclear Energy Development Authority (KNEDA) recently distributed its first awards through the new Nuclear Energy Development Grant Program, which was established last year. In total, KNEDA disbursed $10 million to a variety of companies that will use the funding to support siting studies, enrichment supply-chain planning, workforce training, and curriculum development.

Recent disruptions to the supply of stable and radioactive isotopes have emerged due to geopolitical activities. As well, concerted efforts in the U.S. and internationally over the past few decades have aimed to address growing concerns over isotopes. This panel discussion focuses on efforts to meet demand for isotopes through various methods, such as HALEU reactor-based and accelerator-based production, including plans and progress on development of new production techniques and facilities.
