Nuclear energy is entering a period of unprecedented innovation and growth, but a one-size-fits-all approach to public engagement will not meet the challenges ahead. As advanced reactors, new fuel technologies, and expanded nuclear infrastructure are introduced across diverse communities, communication strategies must be tailored to local interests, questions, and concerns. Driven by demand for reliable carbon-free energy, energy security, and domestic fuel cycle capabilities, the industry is advancing new fuels, enrichment technologies, reactor designs, and innovative applications of proven concepts. This panel will explore how effective stakeholder engagement can help support the successful deployment of nuclear’s next generation.
