Taking shape: Fusion energy ecosystems built with public-private partnerships
It’s possible to describe fusion in simple terms: heat and squeeze small atoms to get abundant clean energy. But there’s nothing simple about getting fusion ready for the grid.
Private developers, national lab and university researchers, suppliers, and end users working toward that goal are developing a range of complex technologies to reach fusion temperatures and pressures, confounded by science and technology gaps linked to plasma behavior; materials, diagnostics, and electronics for extreme environments; fuel cycle sustainability; and economics.

How healthy is the Large Electric Motor Program at your station or fleet? We all know that large motors play a key role in reliable plant operations, but is the large electric motor program that supports these motors getting the appropriate attention? This session will discuss recent large electric motors consequential events and their impact, challenges utilities are facing in ensuring the motor reliability, and how the large electric motor program provides the framework to enable success. Utility success stories will also be discussed for industry benchmarking. Learn about how the industry is responding to recent challenges and trends in motor health and how to stay on top of reliable motor performance. Participants: EPRI
