Reactor Physics
The division's objectives are to promote the advancement of knowledge and understanding of the fundamental physical phenomena characterizing nuclear reactors and other nuclear systems. The division encourages research and disseminates information through meetings and publications. Areas of technical interest include nuclear data, particle interactions and transport, reactor and nuclear systems analysis, methods, design, validation and operating experience and standards. The Wigner Award heads the awards program.

Westinghouse, Bechtel sign consortium agreement for first nuclear plant in Poland
Westinghouse Electric Company and engineering, construction, and project management firm Bechtel on September 20 announced the signing of a consortium agreement to partner on the design and construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant.

As follow up to our 2022 panel discussions, the 2023 edition of Hydrogen Production will include discussion on the advancements made since the 2022 panel discussions, including current project implementation status, as well as new initiatives being pursued with the operating fleet. The panel will expand on last year’s discussions regarding both utility as well as industry initiative and also explore some of the new efforts in the area of hydrogen production.
