Last week, the International Atomic Energy Agency announced the launch of a coordinated research project focused on a nuclear technique that can tackle the reemergence of New World screwworm (NWS) in Central America, Mexico, and the United States.

This session will provide an overview of the technologies for the alternate revenue streams that must be integrated into the plants in some form. This includes plant design and design basis issues, including effects regarding plant thermal efficiency. It will address nuclear safety, licensing and regulatory issues, impact on plant operations, and impact on control room operators.
