2023 ANS Student Conference Speaker
Katie Mummah (she/her) is PhD student in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a graduate research assistant at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Her research expands the capability of nuclear fuel cycle simulators to conduct safeguards analyses, and she is a DOE/NNSA Nuclear Nonproliferation & International Safeguards Graduate Fellow.
Katie has graduate certificates in Science Communication and Energy Analysis & Policy and is known online by her Twitter handle, @nuclearkatie. On Twitter, she shares information about the nuclear fuel cycle, nuclear history, and how to integrate the science of science communication into the public dialogue about nuclear energy.
