The Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy (DOE-NE) created the Nuclear Energy University Program (NEUP) in 2009 to consolidate university support under one program. NEUP plays a key role in helping DOE-NE accomplish its mission of leading the nation’s investment in the development and exploration of advanced nuclear science and technology by funding nuclear energy research at U.S. colleges and universities and providing student education support through the Integrated University Program (IUP).
