Division Spotlight
Operations & Power
Members focus on the dissemination of knowledge and information in the area of power reactors with particular application to the production of electric power and process heat. The division sponsors meetings on the coverage of applied nuclear science and engineering as related to power plants, non-power reactors, and other nuclear facilities. It encourages and assists with the dissemination of knowledge pertinent to the safe and efficient operation of nuclear facilities through professional staff development, information exchange, and supporting the generation of viable solutions to current issues.

NRC seeks presentations for virtual workshop on advanced reactor SNF
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is asking for presentation proposals for a virtual workshop on the storage and transportation of TRISO and metal spent nuclear fuels for advanced reactor designs now under development.

Welcoming Remarks
Ms. Brattin serves as the senior executive overseeing the Institute for Nuclear Power’s Training and Accreditation Department. She has lead the industry and INPO’s efforts to revise the accreditation process, while maintaining high standards and regulatory compliance. She will provide insights on the successes and lessons learned in revising National Academy for Nuclear Training’s accreditation process and, in addition, will address the challenges INPO sees in the future in maintaining excellence in the nuclear industry.
