The division was organized to promote the advancement of knowledge of the use of particle accelerator technologies for nuclear and other applications. It focuses on production of neutrons and other particles, utilization of these particles for scientific or industrial purposes, such as the production or destruction of radionuclides significant to energy, medicine, defense or other endeavors, as well as imaging and diagnostics.

Eisenhower’s “Atoms for Peace” at 70
Seventy years ago to the day, President Dwight D. Eisenhower gave his historic address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. Did you know that as an ANS Student Member you can attend the ANS Annual Meeting in Anaheim, CA and receive reimbursement of your registration fee plus a portion of your travel costs?
Participating in the Student Program is a great way to meet other students as well as professionals in your chosen field of study. It’s also an opportunity to begin making your name and carving your path within your professional society!
All you have to do is work and participate in various activities at the conference and earn a minimum of 10 points.
