What’s the most difficult question you’ve been asked as a maintenance instructor?
Blye Widmar
"Where are the prints?!"
This was the final question in an onslaught of verbal feedback, comments, and critiques I received from my students back in 2019. I had two years of instructor experience and was teaching a class that had been meticulously rehearsed in preparation for an accreditation visit. I knew the training material well and transferred that knowledge effectively enough for all the students to pass the class. As we wrapped up, I asked the students how they felt about my first big system-level class, and they did not hold back.
“Why was the exam from memory when we don’t work from memory in the plant?” “Why didn’t we refer to the vendor documents?” “Why didn’t we practice more on the mock-up?” And so on.
Since its introduction in mid-2020, Newswire has quickly become one of the most popular and highly visible ANS web pages – attracting on average more than 100,000 unique visitors per month. In response to demand, we are pleased to debut recent enhancements in format and function to greatly improve the reader experience and exposure for our advertisers.
Daily content is contributed from Nuclear News and Radwaste Solutions magazines, as well as other ANS communication outlets. Additional news items and articles from the worldwide nuclear community are also included. A corresponding daily reporting the the most important industry news is delivered to nearly 36,000 daily.
There is a single premium ad position near the top of the Newswire web page, for a text banner advertisement. Also, companies can reserve a one month to 12-month online banner campaign across the entire ANS website, which includes the premium Newswire page!
The above rates are the net amounts payable to ANS and are noncommissionable. Contact the Advertising Department for availability or to reserve this type of ad.
