Terms and Conditions of Sales and Services

Please refer to the ANS customer number and invoice number (or online Order ID) on all correspondence.

Phone Orders

If you prefer to place an order by phone, the ANS Order Department may be reached directly at 708-579-8210. Alternately, you may call our toll free number at 800-323-3044 and ask for the Order Department. Prepayment options include MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club, American Express, bank check, and wire transfer. Orders will ship once payment has cleared.

Payment Instructions

Full payment must accompany all subscription orders. Payment may be made by MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club, or American Express.

Subscription Period

Full-year subscriptions to ANS journals run on a calendar-year basis (January through December). All subscriptions expire with the December issue. Journals from prior years are available. Contact ANS for price information.

Subscription Renewals

Subscription renewal notices are sent automatically to all subscribers. When renewing subscriptions, return the renewal notice with payment in full. When subscriptions are renewed through a book dealer, please send a copy of the renewal notice to the dealer. When additional subscriptions are ordered, please indicate directly on the renewal notice what additional subscriptions are being ordered.

Member Discounts

Individual members of ANS National, ANS Organization members, and ICONS members are entitled to purchase subscriptions at a 10% discount. Contact ANS for further information.

Agency/Dealer Discounts

Book dealers may apply for discount prices (please contact subs@ans.org).

Overseas Shipments

All subscriptions are mailed to countries outside of North America via ISAL (International Surface Air Lift), to Canada and Mexico by U.S. Postal Service. Air freight charges are added to the price of the subscription and are listed on the order form. Customers must prepay for any special shipping requests.

Cancellation Refund Policy

Customers will be refunded only for unshipped issues. There is a 10% service charge on all canceled subscriptions. No refunds will be issued after June 1 on a current-year subscription.

Replacement Policy

Claims for missing issues must be submitted within three months of publication date. When delivery of issues claimed can be traced to the subscriber, replacement copies will be furnished only upon receipt of additional payment at the single-issue rate. Claims submitted after three months will not be replaced without additional payment.

Return Shipments

Return shipments are accepted only if ANS shipped incorrect or damaged copies.

Payment Instructions

All orders must be accompanied by payment in full. Payment may be made by check, MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club, or American Express. All sales are final.

Discounts for ANS Members

Each order submitted whether by telephone, ANS order form, or by other written instruction, should indicate the customer's status as ANS member, organization member, or ICONS member, when applicable. Membership in ANS National entitles the member to a 10% discount on the purchase of all publications. When a discount is given on an order, the order must be shipped to the address of the individual/organization receiving the discount.

Dealer Discounts

Book dealers and university bookstores are entitled to a 10% discount; contact ANS for further information.

U.S. Shipments

Orders are normally shipped within ten business days of the receipt of the order. If special shipping is requested, an additional charge of $30 will be assessed for orders outside U.S., and $20 for domestic orders. The name of the recipient and actual shipping address to be used must be clearly indicated on all orders. No orders can be delivered to a post office (P.O.) box. A shipping and handling charge of $10.00 or 7% of invoice total is assessed on all U.S. orders. The minimum charge will be $10.00. Single copies of ANS standards will be mailed first class U.S. Mail. Multiple copies are shipped via UPS. Customers requesting special shipping/handling of an order must pay the extra cost incurred by ANS on a prepaid basis.

Foreign Shipments

ANS ships via U.S. Postal Service to Canada and Mexico, via ISAL (International Surface Air Lift) to countries outside of North America. The name of the recipient and actual shipping address to be used must be clearly indicated on all orders. No orders can be delivered to a post office (P.O.) box. A shipping and handling charge of $20.00 or 20% of invoice total is assessed on all non-U.S. orders. The minimum charge will be $20.00. Using the carriers listed above, all foreign orders should be received within three weeks after ANS has shipped the order. Customers requesting special shipping/handling of an order must pay the extra cost incurred by ANS on a prepaid basis.

Back Orders

A publication that is not available at the time an order is filled will be shipped as soon as it becomes available. When a publication is not in stock, ANS will inform the customer as to future availability. ANS will issue full credit for any out-of-stock items that will not be republished or if the customer requests a refund for a back-ordered item.

Returns

No returns will be accepted more than 60 days after the date of the invoice (90 days for foreign orders). ANS will not assume return shipping charges unless damaged or incorrect items were originally shipped. To identify returns, contact Customer Service at 708/579-8210 or e-mail to orders@ans.org.

Permission to return overstock items must be requested ahead of time. ANS does not sell on a consignment basis. Products must be returned in perfect condition and are subject to a 25% service charge. All returns must include the ANS invoice number.

Missing Shipment Claims

Claims for missing shipments will be honored no later than 60 days after the ANS invoice date (90 days for foreign orders). If it can be determined that a shipment was lost in transit, a replacement shipment will be sent. If the shipment can be traced to the customer (with proof of delivery), the claim will not be honored. Allow one month for ANS to respond to a claim. All claim correspondence should refer to the ANS invoice number, customer purchase order number, order date, and other pertinent information.

No change from the ANS terms and conditions of sales and services will be honored without the written approval of ANS. The customer accepts the ANS terms and conditions, which will override any other submitted purchasing rules and regulations of the customer's. Prices, terms, and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.
