Members are devoted to applying nuclear science and engineering technologies involving isotopes, radiation applications, and associated equipment in scientific research, development, and industrial processes. Their interests lie primarily in education, industrial uses, biology, medicine, and health physics. NRC approves transfer of Vallecitos to North Star for D&D
By an order dated April 25, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved the transfer of ownership of GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy’s Vallecitos Nuclear Center to NorthStar Group Services for nuclear decontamination, decommissioning, and environmental site restoration.
