X-energy raises $700M in latest funding round
Advanced reactor developer X-energy has announced that it has closed an oversubscribed Series D financing round of approximately $700 million. The funding proceeds are expected to be used to help continue the expansion of its supply chain and the commercial pipeline for its Xe-100 advanced small modular reactor and TRISO-X fuel, according the company.

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) is advancing the development of next generation advanced reactors and advanced materials for space nuclear and terrestrial applications, allowing for more compact designs, increased fuel efficiency, and greater overall durability. GA-EMS’ advanced materials, such as silicon carbide (SiGA®) for Accident Tolerant Fuels and harsh environments, will enhance the safety, longevity and economics in space, nuclear and weapon systems industries where components operate in extreme conditions.
