IAEA scientists help rainbow trout farmers in Latin America
The trout population in the western hemisphere is getting stronger through the application of nuclear science.
The International Atomic Energy Agency, as part of a technical cooperation project, is equipping laboratories and training specialists in nine countries to better deal with the infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPNV) in rainbow trout.

Douglass Robison is the Founder and CEO of Natura Resources LLC, located in Abilene, Texas. Throughout his career in the energy sector, Douglass has been at the forefront of leading-edge technologies, in his role at ExL Petroleum, a Permian-based oil and gas exploration and production company, and now as the founder and CEO of Natura Resources. In 2004 he was appointed by former Texas Gov. Rick Perry to serve on the Texas Energy Planning Council and co-chaired the Energy Supply Committee during which time his committee identified the importance of nuclear energy in our energy future. In 2023 Douglass was appointed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to serve on the Texas Advanced Nuclear Reactor Working Group. Natura Resources is a natural fit for his deep-seated interest in advanced energy technologies.
