In quickest review, NRC approves 20-year renewal for Robinson
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has renewed the Robinson nuclear power plant’s operating license in record time, the agency announced last week.
The subsequent license renewal process for the Hartsville, S.C., facility was completed within 12 months, according to the NRC. The process has typically taken 18 months. This was the first license renewal review conducted under the directive of Executive Order 14300 to streamline processes like renewing operating licenses.
You can request Professional Development Hours (PDH) for your participation in the 2025 ANS Winter Conference & Expo. Requests must be received by May 31, 2026. Email askanything@ans.org with “Professional Development Hours (PDHs)” as your subject line and provide:
· Your full name
· Dates of attendance at the 2025 ANS Winter Conference & Expo and the number of hours of sessions you are claiming
o Full conference attendance, 20.5 hours
o Monday full attendance, including plenary, 6.5 hours
o Tuesday full attendance, including plenary, 7 hours
o Wednesday full attendance, 7 hours
· Email address for certificate
A certificate will be emailed to you within 45 days following receipt of the request.
PDHs that are earned from ANS conferences may fulfill the PDH requirement for Certified Nuclear Professional (CNP) certification or recertification.
