Blykalla submits application for six-SMR site in Sweden
Sweden-based advanced reactor developer Blykalla has applied to build a site in its home country that would feature six lead-cooled small modular reactors. The 330-MWe facility would house a half-dozen 55-MWe Sealer reactors, which the company said are designed for hyperscalers and energy-intensive industries.

The panel will discuss successes and challenges when implementing Risk-Informed (RI) programs, including implementation of RI Fire Protection Program (NFPA 805), and 10CFR50.69 RI relaxation of requirements for low-safety significant SSCs, and Code Case N-752-1, RI Categorization and Treatment for Repair/Replacement Activities in Class 2 and 3 Systems.
The panel will share the benefits and cost savings achieved as a result of implementing these programs. The panel will also provide anecdotes from industry experience regarding issues that have complicated efficient implementation and maintenance of these programs and the ability to achieve real cost savings.
