Mark Peters: Building on a strong foundation
Summer at the American Nuclear Society carries with it a sense of renewed momentum as the incoming president takes office and starts making plans for the year ahead. This has been particularly true in the last few years, as nuclear energy moves into a new era marked by broader public interest, stronger policy support, and a growing sense of possibility across the field. Mark Peters, the Society’s 72nd president, shares that optimism—and he is focused on turning it into results.
13th Nuclear Plant Instrumentation, Control & Human-Machine Interface Technologies (NPIC&HMIT 2023)
Tighe has spent the last 20+ years working in various roles in the nuclear industry. His broad experience includes I&C architectures for commercial nuclear plants, research reactors and advanced reactors, encompassing sensor development, legacy analog equipment and new digital system designs. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. Tighe leads Paragon’s Digital I&C and Advanced Reactor strategies and has primary responsibility for all sales and marketing activities at Paragon.
