Illinois legislature lifts ban on nuclear energy, funds clean energy
The Illinois General Assembly passed a clean energy bill on October 30 that would, in part, lift a 30-year moratorium on new nuclear energy in the state and create incentives for more energy storage.
21 Consulting Group, Inc. (21CGI) is a woman owned small business specializing in Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS). Founder and President, Sandi Larson, has over 30 years of NCS experience. 21CGI supports multiple clients, both in the US government and commercial nuclear sectors. The supported sites perform a wide array of fissile operations, from plutonium and uranium processing and recovery to uranium enrichment, nuclear fuel fabrication and waste disposal. Some 21CGI clients, such as the Y-12 National Security Complex and Los Alamos National Laboratory, routinely process large quantities of fissile materials while others have smaller NCS programs, like the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Thus, 21CGI brings a broad knowledge base of operations, lessons learned and best practices to each new task.
