Holtec moves forward on Oyster Creek, looks to Gulf South
In the past week, Holtec has made two significant announcements: the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved its license termination plan (LTP) for Oyster Creek nuclear power plant, and the company has partnered with Entergy and Hyundai Engineering and Construction to evaluate new reactor deployments in the Gulf South region.

In 2025, The United States announced four executive orders aimed at reinvigorating America’s nuclear energy industry. The orders laid out a plan to modernize nuclear regulation, streamline nuclear reactor testing, deploy nuclear reactors for national security, and reinvigorate the nuclear industrial base. This panel will examine the executive orders one year later and the progress that has been made in nuclear since then.
