The Net-Zero Government Initiative set forth by the current administration invites national governments to achieve net-zero emissions by no later than 2050 from national government operations. As a result, the current US administration’s goal of meeting net-zero emissions in all federal infrastructure operations by 2050 has led to a push to deploy clean energy sources. The Department of Energy seeks to accelerate the deployment of advanced reactors through the Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program to increase clean energy options. This potential surge in deploying advanced reactors requires identifying any nuclear fuel and component supply chain issues. This panel will discuss how supply chain issues are being identified and resolved to support the deployment of advanced reactors to meet clean energy goals.
