Nuclear is prominent in Genesis Mission projects
The Department of Energy announced yesterday that it has selected 278 projects under the Genesis Mission request for applications, which opened in March.
According to a White House press release on the same day, $5 billion in federal commitments will be put toward the Genesis Mission.

Kirt Marlow grew up in Eastern Idaho and received his degrees in Pre-Med and Nuclear Physics from Idaho State University. He has been in the nuclear industry for 30 years supporting federal and commercial customers domestically and overseas. He has worked on large DOE and DoD projects, commercial energy, and nuclear capital projects from inception through commissioning and operations. He has supported uranium fuel cycle, commercial reactors, and large-scale energy projects for most of his career. Mr. Marlow assisted in the founding of the Idaho Advanced Energy Consortium (IAEC) and serves as its President currently. He is the SVP-Energy at Hi Tech Solutions (HTS). His organization provides reactor and fuel services to existing nuclear facilities in the U.S. and overseas. HTS is providing turnkey development of electrical generation, advanced reactors, and fuel cycle services.
