Education, Training & Workforce Development
The Education, Training & Workforce Development Division provides communication among the academic, industrial, and governmental communities through the exchange of views and information on matters related to education, training and workforce development in nuclear and radiological science, engineering, and technology. Industry leaders, education and training professionals, and interested students work together through Society-sponsored meetings and publications, to enrich their professional development, to educate the general public, and to advance nuclear and radiological science and engineering.

Nominations open for CNTA awards
Citizens for Nuclear Technology Awareness (CNTA) is accepting nominations for its Fred C. Davison Distinguished Scientist Award, as well as for its Nuclear Service Award. Nominations for both awards must be submitted by August 1.
The awards will be presented in the fall as part of CNTA’s annual Edward Teller Lecture event.
Feature articles discuss the generation, handling, treatment, cleanup, transportation, storage, and disposal of radioactive waste. Articles are contributed by people working with utilities and those involved in legacy site work, in the medical, legal, university, consulting, and commercial areas, and from all levels of government.
Created by ANS in 1994, this specialty publication closely aligns with the expertise and work being done by members of the Decommissioning & Environmental Sciences, Fuel Cycle & Waste Management, and Robotics & Remote Systems professional divisions.
