ANS hosts webinar on criticality safety standards

The American Nuclear Society’s Risk-informed, Performance-based Principles and Policy Committee (RP3C) held another presentation in its monthly Community of Practice (CoP) series last month. RP3C chair Steven Krahn opened the meeting with brief introductory remarks about the importance of risk-informed, performance based (RIPB) decision-making and the need for new approaches to nuclear design that go beyond conventional and deterministic methods.
Edited by Dr. Farzad Rahnema, Nuclear Science and Engineering (NSE) is the first and oldest peer-reviewed journal in its field, published by ANS since 1956. Printed twelve times a year, NSE is widely recognized as an outstanding source of information on fundamental and applied research in all scientific areas related to the peaceful use of nuclear energy, as well as on applications of nuclear particles and radiation.
