Established in 1980 to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of nuclear reactor safety, this award is administered by the Nuclear Installation Safety Division.
The award is made to an individual who has provided outstanding wisdom and direction to key elements of the world nuclear safety activities. Nominees need not be ANS members.
The nominee's name and a written justification are to be submitted to the NISD Honors and Awards Committee Chair. Nominations are due December 1. An appropriate plaque and a monetary award are presented during the ANS Annual Meeting.
