Recognizes and honors a public servant who has demonstrated leadership in energy policy and formulation and public enlightenment, and has made significant contributions for the betterment of mankind in the national and international sphere of public service.

The recipient is likely to be an individual in an elective or appointed position of government, an international agency, or a related public chartered organization.

Each award is an ad hoc consideration and may be based on a single specific outstanding activity or a record of sustained outstanding contribution to the Society.

Nominations must include the completed nomination form accompanied by the following supporting documents:

• A letter of recommendation
• A narrative summary of about 1,000 words, including accomplishments, period of activity, and significance of achievements
• A list of publications
• A brief chronological resume
• Letters of support (support letters recommended but not required, no more than five)

Nomination Deadline: March 15 and August 15

Presented: Annual and Winter Meeting
