This paper concerns the investigation of the structural integrity of a toroidal field coil within the NET-II Tokamak environment. Results of global coil and local conductor stress analysis, using the finite-element method, are presented and discussed. Effects of in-plane and out-of-plane loads due to toroidal and poloidal magnetic fields are included. Fatigue considerations and preliminary design implications are outlined.
