Status of blanket and first-wall engineering Works in Japan is introduced. The works in the following fields are introduced: (1) First wall/blanket designs of the Fusion Experimental Reactor(FER) and power reactors. (2) First wall and divertor/limiter surface heating tests. (3) Both solid and liquid breeder irradiation and non irradiation tests. (4) Analytic and experimental works on neutronics and electromagnetics.
