Yes! Lifetime memberships are available to new or renewing members. Dues rates are based on age:
Age 49 & younger - $3,800
Age 50-64 - $3,150
Age 65 & over - $995

Yes! Members who have 10+ years of continuous membership, are age 60 & over, and are retired may renew as Emeritus members. Please contact the Membership Department to let us know you’ve retired, and we will renew you into this category.

Student members who have at least one year of ANS membership may renew as Recent Graduates. This category is available for one year following graduation. Please keep your graduation date/anticipated graduation date updated on your member profile to ensure this option is offered at the time of renewal.

Apart from Lifetime memberships, all memberships are annual and are on an anniversary renewal cycle. You can check your expiration date on your membership account (scroll down to the bottom of the page under the Membership heading). Memberships are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

All members receive electronic subscriptions to Nuclear News and Radwaste Solutions magazines, ANS Transactions, ANS Proceedings, Nuclear Standards News, and the Nuclear News Daily.

Members within North America receive mailed copies of Nuclear News and Radwaste Solutions. Please be sure your mailing address is provided on your account to receive your print subscription. All members outside of North America, as well as all domestic and overseas Honorary Life members, may pay a nominal fee to receive print copies.

Members may also pay an additional fee to receive print subscriptions to the technical journals.

Purchase or manage your subscriptions from your account.

Yes! All members receive discounted registration rates for ANS meetings. Your member registration rate can be found on the Registration Fees page of each meeting. Please make sure you're logged into the ANS website using the email address associated with your member account in order to receive the discounted rate. For questions regarding meetings, contact meetings@ans.org.

American Nuclear Society member dues are not used for contributions to political parties or candidates or for independent expenditures on behalf of parties or candidates. Less than 1/10 of 1.0% (or 0.1%) of dues money goes to lobbying efforts. In the case of someone at the $195 dues level, this would be approximately 19 cents.

Yes! Organizations and corporations which perform work within the nuclear field are eligible for Organization Membership. More information on benefits can be found on our Organization Membership page. Dues rates are based upon number of employees at your organization who are involved in nuclear.

ANS also offers the Trustees of Nuclear program. Join our premier corporate membership program and invest in impactful ANS programs that improve nuclear literacy in our schools, our conversations with policymakers, and our larger public discourse.

Please contact our Membership Department team at members@ans.org or 800-323-3044.
