ORNL to partner with Type One, UTK on fusion facility
Yesterday, Oak Ridge National Laboratory announced that it is in the process of partnering with Type One Energy and the University of Tennessee–Knoxville. That partnership will have one primary goal: to establish a high-heat flux facility (HHF) at the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Bull Run Energy Complex in Clinton, Tenn.

Where are we headed as an industry to ensure that plants are resilient to changing climate conditions and the increasing number of climate events impacting operations? This session will discuss climate resiliency topics including: where INPO is with development of their climate resiliency principles document, tools that EPRI has developed for utilities to begin assessing climate vulnerabilities, and approaches taken by utility and next steps to address vulnerabilities.
