NASA, DOE solidify collaboration on a lunar surface reactor
NASA and the Department of Energy have announced a “renewed commitment” to their mutual goal of supporting research and development for a nuclear fission reactor on the lunar surface to provide power for future missions. The agencies have signed a memorandum of understanding that “solidifies this collaboration and advances President Trump’s vision of American space superiority.”

As follow up to our 2022 panel discussions, the 2023 edition of Hydrogen Production will include discussion on the advancements made since the 2022 panel discussions, including current project implementation status, as well as new initiatives being pursued with the operating fleet. The panel will expand on last year’s discussions regarding both utility as well as industry initiative and also explore some of the new efforts in the area of hydrogen production.
