Solar developer Geenex looks to enter nuclear market
Charlotte, N.C.–based Geenex, a developer of utility-scale solar power and battery storage within the PJM Interconnection, announced on Tuesday that it is expanding into nuclear energy development, focusing on the siting and permitting of advanced small modular reactors.
The Nuclear Science User Facilities (NSUF) program supports the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy mission by providing nuclear energy researchers with advanced capabilities through partnering institutions. Users are provided access to nuclear materials research facilities, expertise from scientists and engineers, and assistance with experiment design, assembly, safety analysis and examination through competitive, peer-reviewed processes.
