Built on top of the MOOSE Framework, which solves partial differential equations important to fuel performance via the finite element method (energy conservation, stress divergence, and species migration), BISON adds specific fuel constitutive and behavioral models designed to represent the response of fuel and cladding/structural layers in a variety of fuel designs and reactor types. This workshop will serve to introduce users to the BISON code system by building basic examples to help them get started with fuel performance analysis.
