DOE secretary and New York congressman call for reopening of Indian Point
Department of Energy Secretary Chris Wright joined U.S. Rep. Mike Lawler (R., N.Y.) at the site of the closed Indian Point nuclear power plant on Friday, March 6, as Lawler called for the reopening of the facility. He emphasized that the shutdown of the plant in 2021 has led to higher electricity costs for the people of New York state and increased strain on the state’s electric grid.

Yes, all presenters are required to register for the conference. Contact registrar@ans.org with any registration questions.
Regular presentations are allowed 15 minutes with 5 minutes for Q&A. Lightning talks allow 7 minutes for presenting and 3 minutes for Q&A.
Yes, the PowerPoint Template is available on the Resources page of the meeting at which you will be presenting. Jay please add in the template to our resources page. For any questions, contact conferences@ans.org
ANS has negotiated discounted rates at select nearby hotels for conference attendees. We encourage you to book within one of these blocks whenever possible. Staying at one of the recommended hotels helps ANS manage event costs and continue offering an affordable conference experience for students. Thank you for your support!

Yes. During registration, please check the box notating that you have special dietary requirements. All efforts will be made to satisfy needs. Please contact registrar@ans.org with any concerns.

In your response, please indicate any accessibility needs such as wheelchair access, sign language interpretation, or a guide. Yes. Clicking the “Subscribe to Your Itinerary Calendar” button should allow you to subscribe automatically using the default calendar app for the device. For example, on a Mac or iPhone, it will add it to the Calendar app. On an Android device, it will default to the Google Calendar. In Windows, it will most likely default to Outlook.
To add a feed to a particular application manually, you’ll first want to right-click the “Subscribe to Your Itinerary Calendar” button and select “Copy Link Address.” Then, you can follow the steps below:
